Job Description
Job Title: Head of Quality
Location: Medchal, Telangana (Relocation Mandatory)
Experience Required: 10–12 Years
Industry: Non-Ferrous / Copper / Metal Foil
Role Objective:
The Head of Quality will lead the transformation of the quality function from a conventional testing unit into a robust, systems-driven “Checks & Balances” framework. This role is critical in preparing the organization for ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IATF certifications while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a structured quality management system aligned with global standards
- Lead certification initiatives for ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IATF
- Establish independent quality control processes to ensure production accountability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product consistency
- Ensure strict adherence to technical specifications and customer requirements
- Lead internal and external quality audits
- Build and train a high-performance quality team
- Introduce structured training programs for advanced testing equipment
- Collaborate with production teams while maintaining independent quality authority
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 10–12 years of experience in Quality Management within:
- Copper / Non-Ferrous industry
- Wire Drawing / Tinning / Metal Processing
- Strong hands-on experience in metallurgical and electrical testing
- Proven experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IATF standards
- Demonstrated ability to implement and upgrade quality systems
- Experience in leading and developing technical teams
Technical Expertise:
Testing Equipment:
- Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
- Spectrometer (OES/ICP) & DSC
- Micro-Ohm Meter
- Cross-Section Microscopy
Domain Knowledge:
- Conductivity & Resistivity (IACS %)
- Tensile Strength & Elongation
- Coating Thickness & Alloy Composition
- Metallurgical Property Assessment
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong systems-thinking mindset
- Focus on zero-defect quality culture
- Ability to independently challenge production processes
- Experience in manufacturing environments (not limited to lab-only roles)
- Hands-on, execution-driven leader
